The Beginnings
Driven by the mission of serving selflessly, Dr. Santanu Banerjee founded Kolkata Serving the God Foundation in 2016, alongside Sayantan and Debashis. Starting humbly with limited resources, the team traveled 300 km monthly to Purulia, carrying medicines and operating from Gram Panchayat premises. Recognizing the growing need, a healthcare facility was constructed with support from Dr. Banerjee’s father, Sri Subhas Banerjee, who dedicated months to overseeing its completion. Today, the foundation continues to provide essential healthcare, fueled by a deep commitment to serve without expectation.

Kolkata Serving the God Foundation, established in 2016 by Dr. Santanu Banerjee, is dedicated to delivering quality healthcare to rural communities in Purulia, West Bengal. With a committed team, the NGO addresses the critical gaps in medical access by organizing monthly checkups, bridging disparities, and improving lives in underprivileged villages.
Our Services
For nearly nine years, Dr. Santanu Banerjee has been visiting Manihara, Purulia, and nearby villages to fulfill the mission of Kolkata Serving the God Foundation providing basic healthcare at a nominal cost to over 400 patients each month.
Services include health checkups, routine tests, and gynecological care with awareness programs for young girls.
Despite financial and resource challenges, the foundation continues its work, supported by investments from Dr. Banerjee, his family, and well-wishers, driven by the ethos of 'serving without agenda.
